Public awareness about ‘digital arrest’ fraud through ‘Operation 1930’ and ‘1930 Cyber Anthem’
Trailer of Cyber Awareness film ‘Operation 1930’ and ‘1930 Cyber Anthem’ was unveiled at Sahyadri Atithigruh, Mumbai today.
Cyber criminals are scared, scared and cheated citizens in the name of police, CBI or judge. So, without falling victim to any such kinds, citizens should immediately contact the cyber helpline number ‘1930’, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis appealed.
The ‘Golden Hour’ after cyber fraud is of extremely important, filing a complaint during this period is more likely to be stopped or recovered. However, if there is a 3 to 15 days delay in filing complaints from citizens, money is diverted from several accounts and their recovery is extremely difficult. So it is necessary to contact 1930 without delay as soon as you realize that fraud.
Mobile, online transactions, various payment gateways and digital media have become an integral part of everyday life. Although technology has made life easier, the chances of civil cyber crimes have increased. Chief Minister Fadnavis noted this time that the police system needs effective use of modern technology to combat cyber criminals in the background, as well as to raise mass awareness among citizens.
Cyber criminals use various scratches such as ‘telling drugs found in parcel’, ‘OTP fraud’, ‘formed phone calls’, ‘police or threatening in the name of CBI’. A common citizen is frightened by the appearance of a person in a khaki uniform, police officer or judge on the screen and falls victim of fraud. Chief Minister Fadnavis appealed not to fall victim to any such pressure or fear.
CM Fadnavis said awareness is the most effective solution to prevent cybercrime, and the message can reach citizens more effectively through actors, actors and singers. This message needs to be spread to every citizen by conducting a comprehensive campaign on social media through various clips and reels including a 42-minute film ‘Digital Arrest’.
Artificial intelligence has created a new challenge to create voice cloning, deepfake as well as fake audio and videos. Chief Minister Fadnavis also noted that the ongoing work by Maharashtra Cyber to tackle these challenges is commendable, with the cooperation of everyone in the future as well.
